Technology meets ancient wisdom
Hello everyone,
Allow me to start with a question 💡 how many of you have heard longevity experts swearing about the benefits of red light therapy? Many, I am guessing.
Pioneered by NASA, the application of red or near-infrared light (typically within a wavelength range of 600 to 1,200 nanometers) has proven to stimulate mitochondria (our cell's battery packs), promote collagen growth & decrease inflammation. Who would not want that ?!
But how many of you have read about or even experienced blue light therapy ?
A year ago, I acquired a blue light millimeter wave therapy device that has been part of my home essentials and clinical practice ever since. It keeps opening itself to me.
Until the 21st century, MMW applications were mainly intended for the military domain. Civilian applications revoled mostly around improving communications (hello 5G!). Conversely, medical applications had fallen into oblivion for the benefit of classical pharmacological treatments.
However, research reported that MMW could play a significant role in chronic pain management through its action on the endorphin system as well as on cancer management by slowing down tumor growth and reducing the toxic effect of chemotherapy on the immune system.
But what has been my personal experience with this device ?
To name a few cases, I have been using it to treat physical & soft tissues injuries (e.g. torn ligament), to support gut & liver health (e.g. antiparasitic approach), to restore thyroid hormone balance, to reduce edema, to foster skin wound healing, to alleviate pain, to clear congested sinuses.
I have been placing the blue light lobe on organs & on marma points (the Ayurvedic equivalent to Chinese Medicine acupressure points). How wonderful to have a device which will have a similar effect to a very precise acupuncture session without having to worry about a needle hitting the spot :) I have been following ‘textbook’ protocols as much as my own body cues & intuition.
As a former civil engineer, this device has not only brought healing to my community but also brought peace to my heart at the realization that technology can serve ancient wisdom.
Today I share with you the textbook benefits of two of my favorite spots. They contribute to clearing sinuses (great during the current Kapha season!) & restoring the ventral vagal state of your nervous system (for immunity & sleep!).
I recommend to stimulate them twice a day, 1 time in the morning before 7 a.m. , 1 time in the evening after 9 p.m. 30 minutes each time. Continue until recovery. Always drink water after each session.
I would love for you to experience MMW stimulation if you have not tried it yet. Reach out if you require support on your healing journey. My 1:1 work integrates blue light and the wisdom of Ayurveda.
